2006-2007
Great Danes Captains
Captain - Andrew Schulman
 |
Andrew comes to U Albany from
the Brooklyn Shamrocks. He has been a fixture
on the Danes defense over past few years. Truly
the motivational leader of the U Albany Ice Hockey
team, his physical style sets the tone for the
top defensive unit in the league. Andrew is an
Accounting Information Systems major and looks
forward to returning Albany to glory once again
this season.
|
Captain - Chris Yohe
 |
Chris comes to U Albany from the
Nassau Community Lions on Long Island. Transferring
schools in December of 2005, Chris had an immediate
impact both on and off the ice for the Danes.
He was instrumental in helping U Albany down the
stretch and to their first ever Nationals appearance.
Chris is a Sociology major and will be a key piece
in Albany's quest to get back on top in the MCHC. |
Asst. Captain - Scott Sukup
 |
Scott came to U Albany from the
Jr. River Rats program in Bethlehem. A quiet leader,
Scott was third on the team in assists and fifth
in points last year while playing on Albany's
top line. A dominate penalty killer throughout
his Albany career, Scott now enjoys time on the
Danes top power play unit. He has always and will
continue to work hard in all aspects of the game
to truly solidify his "lead by example"
mentality. |
Asst. Captain - Jared Raygada
 |
Jared, a senior defenseman, has
been assistant captain for the Great Danes since
he was a sophomore. He came to the Danes from
Sachem High School and the Suffolk PAL travel
program. A dominate blue liner in the MCHC for
a number of years, he was named to the all-star
and all-conference team last year. A Math major
at U Albany, Jared wants nothing more than to
finish his career with a second ring. |
Asst. Captain - Josh Charland
 |
Josh, one of the best leaders
in U Albany Hockey history, comes to the Great
Danes from the CD Selects program. His offensive
stats rival some of the top scores in the storied
history of the program. A physical forward, Josh
was fourth on the team in goals last year and will
once again play on one of the top scoring lines
for the Great Danes. |
